As a national intangible cultural heritage, stone carving is often endowed with some kind of soul by a sculptor or designer given its particularity. It, to some extent, expresses the artist’s aesthetic feelings, emotions, and ideals, which also reflects social life. Thus, it is quite valuable in terms of history, art and science.

       The stone carving project of the World Craftsman Organization is of great significance for promoting the development of stone carving techniques, for the protection and inheritance of stone carving and for the promotion of global cultural integration.
